In art this November, we worked on painted paper collage. Students spent one lesson creating textured papers using brayers, scrapers, squeegees and sponges. These papers were used during a second lesson as images representing sky, land and birch trees. Students cut and organized their papers to show depth and perspective on the picture plane. Some of the second graders even added shadows. So Sophisticated!
Jayden still has his hanging on his bedroom wall! I miss you and everyone at UMS! Have you heard of Bren Bataclan? He's an artist in Cambridge, MA who draws every day on youtube for the kids... he's so much fun! Loving your videos here at the ziter household!
