2nd graders finally got to paint their paper mache animal sculptures today. It has been a long time since we have been able to work on these. We had the puppet residency affecting art classes for two weeks, then we missed two weeks over vacation/conferences, then last week my son came down with the stomach bug, which meant sub plans! Needless to say, these kids have been waiting a LONG time to get these done. The time has finally come. And it was worth the wait.
